Club awarded substantial grant.

The Club is pleased to announce that, following an application to the Sussex Community Foundation for a grant towards the purchase of a new aerator, we have been awarded the sum of £3,750 from the grassroots scheme, which is a scheme managed by the Foundation in this area. We have now purchased and taken delivery of the new equipment, which cost £4,255 and therefore required funding of £505 from the Club’s own resources. Bearing in mind our previous aerator was purchased over 30 years ago, the new model is much more efficient in terms of speed and the quality of the work it can actually do, and will help to maintain the very high standard of green that we enjoy.

The Club’s committee would like to place on record its thanks to the Foundation for this award as, without it, we would not have been able to purchase this important piece of equipment either now or in the foreseeable future.
